Original Friulian Children's Shoes
They were born in 1800 as poor people's shoes Friulian countrysideMade from scrap materials and used as Sunday shoes, they were entirely hand-sewn by women, with soles made from recycled bicycle tires. They later became popular in Venice, especially among gondoliers, due to their non-slip properties and stability, and, not least, they didn't damage the boats' paintwork. Crafted within the home with care and love.
